A group lesson in Two Step will be taught by Mark Moy from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., followed by a mix of Ballroom, Latin, Swing, and a touch of Country. Join us for a fun evening including Door Prizes and maybe even a Line Dance!. The dance is beginner friendly and no partner is necessary.
Flash lessons will be offered to beginner dancers.Wear snug and comfy shoes that glide. Don't have any? Wear socks or apply duct tape to your soles.
COVID: Because we want our dancers to feel comfortable, we're offering masks and hand sanitizer. Name tags will either have a red, green, or yellow dot. Yellow means "I will only dance if we wear masks", Red means I'll dance with my partner only", and green means "I am free to dance with anyone". Masks are encouraged but not required.
MARK MOY
A veteran instructor and choreographer with over 25 years of teaching experience, Mark has a passion for teaching the love of dance. Beginner and advance students alike benefit from his warm, enthusiastic, and patient style. Mark's greatest joy is watching his students have the "lightbulb" moment. Mark tries various approaches for presenting concepts until that happens for each and every student.
Giving back to the Austin community and participation and local charitable events is important to Mark. In 2011 and 2012, he was a featured dance professional in the Lake Travis Dancing with the Stars event to benefit the Lake Travis Community Library, and in 2011 & 2016, he was a featured professional in the Dancing with the Stars Austin, benefiting the Center for Child Protection. He has been president of the prestigious Mayfair Dance Club since 2020.
